Enneagram Workshop

Service Description

Join us in an introductory session for people just starting their Enneagram journey. What is the Enneagram? The Enneagram is a centuries-old, dynamic symbol of who we are as human individuals, and the processes at work in our experiences of life.. Its roots can be found in the teaching of Greek philosophers, and aspects of it appear in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, as well as Hermetic and Gnostic philosophy, Sufiism and Taoism. Though many of its modern teachers have backgrounds in various flavours of Christianity, their audiences are comprised of people from almost every religious background, as well as those who espouse no religion at all, and those who are opposed to religion entirely. In other words, the Enneagram seems to transcend many of the boundaries which divide humans most emphatically. This symbol provides us with tools for understanding the energies that work in us, through us, and between us. Each “number” on the Enneagram represents a particular “flavour” of energy, and for each person, one of these numbers represents “home base”, the flavour with which we are most familiar. This online workshop will be delivered in four segments. Each session will be comprised of a teaching component, and time for general questions from participants. January 13 – An overview of the symbol, including our three centres of energy, and our work to grow in the integration of all three January 20 – The Head Centre – a discussion of the energies at the 5, 6, and 7 spaces February 3 – The Heart Centre—a discussion of the energies at the 2, 3, and 4 spaces February 10 – The Gut (Body) Centre—a discussion of the energies at the 8, 9 and 1 spaces Supplemental material will be provided on Janelle Schneider’s personal website janelle-schneider.com at the conclusion of the workshop series.
