Families of 2SLGBTQIA+ in person group

Service Description

Here's an opportunity for people in Winnipeg - an in person group for anyone with a family member in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community! Listening groups offer an opportunity for people to have honest, reflective conversations using a facilitated and respectful process. Participants will receive a link to an introductory video before starting the group to become familiar with the process and ground rules for engagement. Every month, you will receive an article or short video to help you prepare for your group. Many people want to be a supportive ally for their LGBTQ+ family member but they don't know where to start. This group will help you process your feelings as you support your family member, become a more supportive ally, integrate your faith and give you a chance to learn and practice contemplative listening. We are partnering with Churchill Park United Church for this event, so please note this is an IN PERSON, Winnipeg-based group.
