Shekinah: Centre for Deep Listening's mission is to create inclusive spaces where people can learn and practice processes of deep listening in order to become more fully ourselves, transform our relations, and restore our connection to the Sacred.

Shekinah began as a legacy program of the sisters of St. Benedict's monastery, training people to become spiritual directors. In the summer of 2023, Shekinah became a non-profit and expanded its mandate to include practices of restorative justice and community education.

Workshops

Workshops

Shekinah online workshops offer a combination of educational material, experiential practices and facilitated conversation. Recordings of the workshops will be made available to registrants if you can't make a session. Handouts will be provided digitally.

Listening Groups & Retreats

Listening groups offer an opportunity for people to have honest, reflective conversations using a facilitated and respectful process. Participants will receive a link to an introductory video before starting the group to become familiar with the process and ground rules for engagement. Every month, you will receive an article or short video to help you prepare for your group. Recordings will not be available.
